My career path has been anything but a linear progression. I have completed a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from York University, and a master’s of Art History from Queen’s University. I have worked as an educator in various post-secondary institutions, at which time I have started practicing and learning instructional design to build and design courses that were engaging and appealing to students. As a course instructor, I was granted the opportunity to redesign courses that were taught on campus and in-person into blended and online courses. I developed curriculum and learning modules for arts and business programs.
During this period, I discovered that my true passion lay in the structure and design of curriculum, rather than pursuing a traditional career as an educator. I found the process of organizing course content, developing engaging learning modules, and shaping the overall learning experience to be especially fascinating. This realization guided my transition from teaching into the field of curriculum development & instructional design, where I could focus on creating effective and meaningful educational experiences for learners.
At the same time, I was completing my doctorate in education, earning my PhD in 2018 with a dissertation that explored undergraduate students’ perspectives on course design, teaching methods, and technology integration. Since 2019, I have served as a curriculum developer at York University.
My goal is to support individuals, teams, and organizations by creating visually appealing, engaging, and effective learning experiences.
